Welcome to SiteBlazer!

This article shows you how to connect your domain to our server to display the website content in your domain.

Finalizing Your Website Setup: Domain Linking and A Record Configuration

Once you've selected your templates, categories, and products, WPBlazer will automatically generate your website and redirect you to the Website Ready page.

Step 1: Copy the IP Address

On the Website Ready page, you’ll find a unique IP address assigned to your newly created website.

Copy this IP address—you'll need it to link your domain to your site.

Linking Your Domain

To make your website accessible using your custom domain (e.g., yourdomain.com), you’ll need to update your domain's DNS settings by creating an A Record.

Step 2: Sign In to Your Domain Provider

1.    Log in to the account where you registered your domain name (such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.).

2.    Navigate to the DNS Management or DNS Settings section.

Step 3: Creating an A Record

In this example, we'll demonstrate the steps using Cloudflare, but the process is similar across most domain providers.

1.    Go to the DNS tab of your Cloudflare dashboard.

2.    Click Add Record.

3.    Set the record type to A Record.

Step 4: Configure Domain Pointing

Depending on whether you are linking your main domain or a subdomain, use the appropriate format:

  • Main Domain
    • Name / Host: Enter @
    • This represents the root domain (e.g., yourdomain.com)
  • Subdomain
    • Name / Host: Enter your subdomain (e.g., blog, store, app)
    • This links a subdomain like blog.yourdomain.com
  • Value / IP Address: Paste the IP address you copied from the Website Ready page.

Don’t forget to save the record after entering the details.

Step 5: Wait for DNS Propagation

Once you've saved the changes:

  • It may take a few minutes to a few hours for the DNS updates to propagate across the internet.
  • After propagation is complete, your custom domain will point to your new website.

Congratulations! Your website is now live and accessible via your chosen domain.
